Sharjah Cat and Dog Shelter is a non-profit shelter that rescues abandoned pets and finds them homes.
They have been in operation since 1989 and their main aim has always been to rescue and rehome stray and abandoned dogs. They take in dogs and care for them until new homes can be found; giving them shelter and high standards of kennelling and veterinary care.
Animals and Us was founded in 2006 and is a registered non-profit animal welfare based in United Arab Emirates (UAE). The founder, Michelle Francis, is an animal lover and has been a rescuer for 15 years, she works as a full time teacher. They have more than 300 animals, and feed more than 600 animals that are still on the streets as well as a group of donkeys.

A federal and local licensed, non profit, no kill shelter, on a mission to help abused, abandoned, neglected and forgotten stray animals in the United Arab Emirates. They are a private animal shelter that was established in 2013 and relies solely on public support to operate. Socialization events are held every weekend wherein you can register and spend some time with their shelter animals.
RAK AWC has quickly grown to be the premier provider of animal services in Ras Al Khaimah. They have an exclusive plot of 22,000 square meters which includes indoor air conditions cattery and kennels, a fully equipped vet clinic and the largest open-air dog park with a pool. They hold adoption and foster days for cats and dogs as well to be rehomed.
They rescues mainly Salukis, sometimes Azawakhs, Whippets and Greyhounds, and Saluki mix with Sighthounds or mix with Desert Dogs. They rehabilitate them with thorough veterinary treatment and into foster homes so that they can get well and learn to be comfortable in homes and with people wherein they can find their forever homes within the UAE and sometimes overseas.
Abu Dhabi Animal Shelter is managed by Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital. The decision was based on a proposal regarding the establishment of an animal shelter for cats and dogs for Abu Dhabi Emirate that had taken into consideration the best international practices for dealing with feral cats and stray dogs in Europe, USA and Australia.

They are a volunteering group of different nationalities, colors & religions with a common humanitarian bond that is “Animals love & respect towards their souls value”.
The UAE is a pet-loving country, and the number of people who have pets has been increasing. However, there are not enough shelters to accommodate all the pets.
